Diabetes: Chocolate Cappuccino

Warm cappuccino with the hint of chocolate!

Chocolate Cappuccino

2 cup fat free milk
1 1/2 cup Coffee, brewed with tap water (dark roast preferred)
1/4 cup Syrup, chocolate, lite
4 tsp sugar
1/4 cup whipped fat-free topping, thawed (optional)
1/4 tsp Cocoa Powder, unsweetened (optional)

Chocolate Cappuccino


In a medium saucepan, heat the milk over medium heat for 2 to 3 minutes, or until warm (do not boil). No stirring is needed.
Pour the milk into a blender; then blend on high speed for 1 minute.
Pour 1/3 cup hot coffee into each of the four coffee mugs or cappuccino mugs; then stir 1 tablespoon of chocolate syrup and 1 teaspoon of sugar into each mug.
Pour 1/2 of the milk into each mug (do not stir); then top each serving with a dollop of whipped topping if desired and a sprinkle of cocoa powder.

If you have an espresso/cappuccino machine, brew the coffee, and steam and froth the milk according to the directions; then add the syrup, sugar, and whipped topping as directed in the recipe!
