A variety of fruits and other treats dipped in melted semi-sweet chocolate!
1 cup semi sweet chocolate chips
1 tbsp Shortening, vegetable
36 Apricots, dried, or strawberries, maraschino cherries, pretzels, small cookies, angel food or pound cake cubes
1 tbsp Sugar, colored (if desired)
Line jelly roll pan, 15 1/2 x 10 1/2 x 1 inch, with waxed paper. Heat chocolate chips and shortening in 1-quart heavy saucepan over low heat, stirring often, until smooth, remove from heat.
Refrigerate uncovered about 30 minutes or until chocolate is firm.
For Vanilla Dippers, use 6 ounces vanilla-flavored candy coating (almond bark)!
