Ultrasound scan, also called Sonography (ultrasonography) is the diagnostic imaging method, which uses high frequency sound waves to take images of organs inside your body. Medical sonography is used : Cardiology, Gastroenterology, Gynecology, Neurology, Ophthalmology, Urology, Musculoskeletal, Cardiovascular system.

The images created during the ultrasound examination, often provide information that is very valuable in the diagnosis and treatment of various diseases.
Most ultrasound examinations done by sonar – a device which is not introduced into your body, although some surveys ultrasound still require placement of the device inside your body.

What is a biopsy?

Biopsy – lifetime taking tissues, organs or cell suspensions for microscopic examination with diagnostic purpose. In a broader sense, a biopsy understand the process of study biopsy – tissue sections obtained in vivo. Biopsy is mandatory method of confirming the diagnosis in suspected the presence of cancer. A biopsy is the most reliable method of investigation in the case of the need to establish the cellular composition of tissue. Capture of tissues and their subsequent study under a microscope to determine the exact cellular composition of the investigated material. A biopsy is the study within the diagnostic minimum for suspected cancer, and is complemented by other research methods, such as radiological, endoscopic, immunologic.

Mammography

A mammography exam, called a mammogram, is used to aid in the early detection and diagnosis of breast diseases in women. Mammography is a specific type of imaging that uses a low-dose x-ray system to examine the women breast and is used as a diagnostic as well as a screening tool.  Screening mammograms usually involve two x-rays of each breast.  The goal of mammography is the early detection of breast cancer, typically through detection of characteristic masses and/or microcalcifications. They are recommended for women who have symptoms of breast cancer or who have a high risk of the disease.   Mammograms can show tumors long before they are big enough for you or your health care provider to feel.

The probability of drug interactions with increasing number of drugs taken increases. Therefore, people who take several drugs are in most danger. Hyperkalemia

Hyperkalemia or high potassium level occurs when the level of potassium in your body and blood is higher than normal.
Potassium is a nutrient that is critical to the normal function of nerve, heart and muscles cells. It plays an important role in controlling activity of smooth muscle  and skeletal muscle, as well as the muscles of the heart. It is also important for normal transmission of electrical signals throughout the nervous system within the body.
Normal blood potassium level is 3.6 to 4.8 milliequivalents per liter (mEq/L). Having a blood potassium level higher than 6.0 mEq/L can be dangerous and requires immediate treatment. Extremely high levels of potassium in the blood (severe hyperkalemia) can lead to cardiac arrest and death.
